Josh spoke to a Brazilian teen magazine. Here’s the small interview:
Interviewer: The Hunger Games is a phenomenon. What do you think about seeing yourself at the cover of so many magazines?
Josh: I get embarassed. One day, I received a picture of a friend holding a magazine with my face on it. They do this just to mock me! But it’s really cool to have my name associated with a success such as The Hunger Games.
You already said you were a fan of the books since before. What did you feel when you learned you were going to be Peeta?
Woah, having to wait two weeks to know if I had been chosen for the part was torture. When I got the call, I was speechless. Then, to celebrate, I went out with my friends to have dinner at a japanese restaurant. I love sushi!
How was the auditon for the part?
It was one of my favorite scenes of the book: When Peeta is hurt and he confesses his love for Katniss, in the cave. It’s the moment in which he admits he’d always liked her and gets a kiss.
Are you and Peeta alike?
He is a guy who never stops being himself. I am like that too. In real life, I can’t pretend to be someone I am not.
